  • How To Quickly and Securely Add Contacts to Your iPhone - Well Yes, Once Again Not Without DiskAid.

It’s so much fun to outline everything iTunes doesn’t do.

Seriously, everyday life is full of good examples of how the manager of ‘everything iPhone’ falls short. Even the most basic things.

This use case is a good one, it probably happened to you too:

You need your colleague to share a handful of contacts he has sitting on his computer - you need them now on your iPad. You’re leaving on a field trip very soon, you’ve got to catch this plane. How you gonna do that:

    • Using iTunes? No way: your computer will only sync with your own device, connecting it to your colleague’s iTunes account will simply wipe it clean.
    • Using iCloud? Nope: iCloud syncs your stuff among your devices. Period.
    • Using DiskAid? Yes! Three clicks will do that. Whether you want to add a vCard or contacts from Outlook. Fast, secure, done!

     Here’s how simple it is:

    1. Launch DiskAid, connect your device and select Contacts
    2. At the top of the window choose iPhone to copy the contacts locally
    3. Click on Import from Contacts or Import from vCard to upload the contacts to the device - Done! (Check our Support Forum for more)

At this point I would like to emphasise on how secure this way of pushing contacts to an iPhone or an iPad is: no cloud. This means no big ears, no NSA, no network connection…

Hope you enjoyed that little trick. It’s funny how many users have really asked us how to do this before we realised we could effectively code it and ship it into DiskAid.

    How I love this job.
